2009 Fishing Reports

March 9, 2009 We had a good trip today inshore on a half-day trip with good catches of sea bass and sharks. It looks like the season is finally here with lots of charters coming up next week! During February I was working really hard to get my second boat ready for the season. March 15 2009 I had a good group of kids today from Virginia on spring break. They out-fished their fathers with plenty of sharks and sea bass.

March 19 2009 Spring Breakers from Wisconsin had fun today with Sea Bass and Sharks.
March 24, 2009 Half day trip today The fish were biting good.We caught a lot of fish. This group with mom and daughter had an enjoyable day as a family on the water.
April 5, 2009 I did 2 half day trips today. Black sea bass bit really good on both trips. These kids had a fun time fishing with their family.
April 15 2009 Good catch of keepers today on trip.Over next couple of weeks we have some big trips comeing up for the Gulf Stream cant wait to get out their and see what we catch.
April 17 2009 today 1/2 day trip we caught alot of sea bass and ended up with a nice mess of keeper sea bass.

April 23 2009 Fish bit good today had a nice surprise to go with the bass.a rare Big Black fish.
April 28 2009 Bottom fish bit good today in the Gulf Stream with local group from Sunset Beach NC. We had Red Grouper,Scamp Grouper Snapper and Trigger fish, it was clean fishing with no junk fish like (rudder fish and jacks) ended up with abount 200 lbs of bottom fish.We will back out their Fri and Sat doing some trolling and bottom fishing.

May 06 2009 Fish picked ok today on an 8 hour trip. We had a good catch of keeper sea bass, grunts, and trigger fish and gag grouper.
May 08 2009 Another good day with Grouper and bottom fish caught some King Mackeral trolling to.
May 11 2009 Fished in the Gulf stream today kinda slow on trolling we had a big swell out of the south west and a east wind that had it choppy wich slowed the bit.
May 15 2009 This past week Ive been doing half day trips. We caught plenty of spanish mackeral and sharks have been showing up close to the beach now. I had a good trip today on an 8hour. I had a limit of king mackeral and some big amberjacks. We also got some nice size gag grouper and sea bass and grunts.
May 16 2009 Snapper bitting good on 10 hr trip today,with group from Columbia SC.
May 27 2009 We had a fun halfday trip today with a group from Georgia. Kids caught a lot of fish. This daughter had a nice keeper sea bass too, and some sharks to go along with it.
May 30 2009 We had another good day trolling in the gulfstream for mahi mahi. We had a good catch but my camera was dead and couldnt take any pictures. Jim, if you are reading this, email me some pictures to post! June 1 2009 I had an 8 hour trip today with good catches of big reef donkeys (amberjack)and bottomfish. I will have to post pics soon when I get them. June 2 2009 I had a gulf stream today. the ocean was flat calm like a mirror which makes the trolling fish bite slow. We did catch a few dolphin and lost some with a group from Kentucky.
May 28 2009 Oops. Almost forgot to post this one. Nice size spanish mackeral on the beach now in close. This group from New York had a good time catching spanish and sharks.

June 11 2009 What a week Gulf Stream to 1/2 day trips fish bitting all over the ocean. Good catch of Spanish Mackeral and sharkes today on a 1/2 day trip.

June 17 2009 Nice King Mackeral caught today. Been doing alot of trolling trips the last week. start back bottom fishing this weekend for snapper and grouper Ive been waiting for the moon to change to help the snapper bite.
June 19 2009 The king mackeral were biting good about 20 miles out on an 8 hour trip today. We caught some barracuda too.

June 20 2009 Gulf Stream trip today trolling was slow now out there but the bottom fish are bitting good. we had some Grouper Grunts and snappers.
June 26 Good catches of Dolphin now on 8 hr trips had a good trip today dont need to go to Gulf Stream.
June 25 2009 Good day with new timers today on 8 hr trip
June 30 2008 Alot of king on 6 and 8 hr trips this week and some dolphin mixed in
June 31 2009 More Kings and Dolphin on 8 hr trips July 22 2009 Atlantic sharp noise shark gave this young guy a good fight on 1/2 day trip
